Lehigh Gorge Trail
Lehigh Gorge Trail can be accessed directly from downtown Jim Thorpe and from other locations like White Haven and Glen Onoko. The trail follows along an abandoned railroad and the valley of the Lehigh River Gorge from White Haven to Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania.
The popular trail is open year-round and is exciting for those who like to cycle and hike. Encounters of rock formations, waterfalls, and wildlife are expected as you sight see on more than 25 miles of the trail. The trail is opened in the winter for cross-country skiing and a section is opened to snowmobiles.
Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway
Hop on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway and admire the beautiful scenery surrounding the train. The ride takes you from Jim Thorpe into Lehigh Gorge State Park passing through scenic areas of mountains, bridges, and Glen Onoko Falls along the way. The vintage coaches provide breathtaking views and narration of history throughout the 45-minute trip.
