Tea House primarily serves the finest quality selection of tea around the world. The establishment offers a unique opportunity to help you savor the present as you enjoy a cup of tea away from the chaos of the real world.
Relax and marvel at the Koi pond just steps away from the Tea House and take advantage of our sanctuary at the Reflection Center. The Koi Pond homes incredibly beautiful and colorful carp that brings tranquility and serenity to the surroundings. Whether you are an avid tea drinker or not, Tea House is designed to satisfy your senses at every sip.
EVENTS
The events held are available to the local community and our guests. Spend time with us before you go off on your own to explore Jim Thorpe or come relax at the end of the day to reflect after your adventure in town.
Starters
Starters are available for a free short presentation every weekend, at the hour, every two hours starting at 10am. Start your day with us or take a break to recharge as you continue your day exploring what Silk and Jim Thorpe has to offer. Tea experts will briefly share their knowledge with you as you sample some of the best teas offered in town. Within the hour you will leave with a new appreciation for tea. No reservations are required. Show up at Tea House and a host will guide you to the event. This event is ideal for tea lovers who have some time in their day before they embark on their next adventure.
Tuesday Night Socials
Come out to our early evening tea socials held every Tuesday 5:30pm – 7pm and learn everything from tea history to tea serving from our in-house expert. Experience how various cultures around the world integrate tea into their lives. Socialize with others as you sample the tea leaves selected at the Tea House and share your thoughts with a fellow tea lover. This event is ideal for guests who would like to explore deeply into the tea world in a social setting and are open to try new tea leaves.
Tea Party
Reserve a Tea Party for you and your guests in an intimate setting. Your party will sample a selection of tea leaves curated by a tea expert in a private room. Guests will partake and engage in memorable activities as they learn the history of tea and the health benefits from our in-house expert. Experience tea drinking at a whole another level with friends, family, and colleagues close to you. In addition, a set of teacups will be gifted with a purchase of the tea leaves curated for the party.
